I was given two choices: Go to a Christmas market or start cleaning for Christmas. What did I choose?

Planla å ta for meg to hjørneskap.
English:
Christmas is getting closer and according to tradition our houses need to be cleaned before the season starts. I intended to start off carefully, with some kitchen cupboards. The plan was to clean the two corner cupboards. Why exaggerate?! However, something else popped up, a Christmas market. I had never been to a Christmas market and decided that the cupboards would have to wait… And doing both things was out of the quiestion, because of my health issues.
Hilde came to my house to pick me up. Very convenient. She was going to drive anyway and I had no clue where the Christmas market was. She’s a good friend and I think of her as a bonus sister. I was looking forward to spending the morning with her and a few other nice people. Jonsvatnet area is quite large. Hilde spotted the farm Engelsåsen where the Chritmas market was a long time before she saw the sign by the road. Thanks to her intuition. This is like “The power of the spirits”, I exclaimed. In this programme the medium finds what house that is haunted because he/she senses where it is.
We parked in front of the barn. As we got out of the car Hilde suddenly stopped and looked around. She was met by someone. I didn’t meet them, so they must have appeared in another dimension that was not available to me. And all of a sudden I got this “Power of the spirits feeling” again. Hilde decided that she would chase the spirits later and we went inside the barn to the Christmas market. My first Christmas market ever actually.
It was a nice Christmas market with a lot of knitted products and happy exhibitors. Not a lot of goblins, as I had expected, but lots of socks and dolls’ clothes. My bank account is pared to the bone, so I just had a look around. And then I took some pictures. Furthermore, I had a good time together with nice people in the café inside the barn.
A friend of Hilde who has more or less grown up on that farm wanted Hilde to do a “search” using her sixth sense at Hjellhaugen, which I at first thought was named the castrate hill (translated). It is situated above the farm and a path took us up there. Hilde got serious pains in her body on her way up there and was completely taken by surprise. She asked the rest of us if we felt anything, but of course we didn’t. She said it was not fair that she was the only one who sensed the pain and the traces from the past. But she bravely continued to the top of the hill.
At Hjellhaugen Hilde used her psychic ability to describe some of history from the past, from a long time ago. She said it was like seeing battles flicker quickly past like on a YouTube channel. Hilde explained that there were several layers of historic events that had taken place up there and that people had come from different directions to this spot. A lot of violence had taken place. It was exciting to hear about it. And nice to know that Lise and Even had married at this spot a couple of years ago, which will have left positive traces as a contribution to the history up there.
Much to my surprise the kitchen cupboards had been cleaned while I was at the Christmas market. House cleaning was not done by any spirit or ghost but by the man of the house. Bjørn had taken responsibility for doing it. Furthermore, he had done a lot more than those two cupboards that I planned on cleaning. Lucky me! In my next blog post I will write about how I felt the rest of the day.
If it any consolation for Hilde I have had the same experiences also, many times. When I visit an old castle I refuse to enter the dungeon or prison, because I can hear the prisoners from a long time ago cry out in agony and pain as well as from hunger and sadness, despair. And also I have heard them when they were tortured many times over. It is the fate of a medium. A couple of years ago I visited an exposition in our town nearby where the last big execution of witches was held 400 years ago. The things the men of the Inquisition did to them were unimaginable and very cruel. 64 witches were murdered and their belongings and houses taken, part of these possessions were granted to the people who accused them in the first place. Also when someone has been killed or raped on a spot, we can feel what they have gone through. The fear, the disbelieve, angryness, everything. And what to think about the suffering of people with terminal illnesses and the family members who have to cope with it? We can, to some extend bring light and positive energy to this spot. But that is the ‘other’ side of being a medium, just part of our work here on earth. We don’t complain about it, but it is not Always happy or nice…
Thank you so much for explaining it so well, Robert! You have a gift, with your sixth sense and psycic ability, but it must be very painful when you sense such terrible actions and happenings! I appreciate very much that you have explained these things to me in the past as well, and somehow it has made me less afraid of “the other side”. Thank you! 🙂
Tusen takk selv, Hilde! Meant to be 😉 🙂 Ja, det var ganske overveldende, men spennende å se deg “in action”.
